As part of our ongoing commitment to fire safety compliance, we carry out quarterly fire safety inspections across all fire doors on site. During our most recent inspection, we conducted a detailed assessment of 148 fire doors. Our comprehensive inspection report identified that 68 fire doors required full replacement, while 80 needed remedial repairs to ensure continued compliance with fire safety regulations.

One of the key challenges we faced was that the premises operate 24/7, meaning every area is in constant use. To minimise disruption, our team liaised closely with the on-site facilities team to identify periods of lower activity in certain areas, such as during clinic breaks. From this, we developed a carefully planned work programme that ensured no clinics, meetings, or operational activities were interrupted by noise or restricted access.

To further reduce disruption, we scheduled works during out-of-hours periods, including weekend shifts when no clinics were running.

All new fire doors were delivered within six weeks. While awaiting delivery, our team began the remedial repair works, which were completed over three weeks. The installation of new fire doors was also completed within three weeks, combining both normal and out-of-hours working times. The on-site project manager oversaw all scheduling, ensuring the programme ran smoothly and safely.

Waste materials were managed responsibly, with all debris securely stored in locked on-site waste containers and collected fortnightly for proper disposal in line with environmental and safety standards.
